These chevron glass trade beads display an incredible array of chevrons, gradiants, and rectanglar patterns. They are inspired by the Native American and African Venetian style trade beads of the late 14th century They are made in the same manner as the originals and they vary slightly in shape, size, and hole diameter, which indicates that they are handmade. Chevron beads were first made by 1400's Venetian glassworkers and were perfected over the centuries until exspense nearly caused this art to go extinct. Chevron beads may also be known as black beads, trunk beads, and Venetian beads. Beads vary between 4 and 6 layers, and are bagged 1 oz each.
